The initiative is intended to respond to the digital social and economic development policy proposed by the Seventh Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the implementation requirements of the first phase of the "Pentagon Strategy".

Starting from July 1, 2025, the Cambodia v-Pass system will begin trial and is suitable for all foreign tourists entering and leaving the country through the three international airports and international ports in Cambodia.

At that time, foreign passengers will no longer need traditional entry seals or QR code cards when entering the country, but will complete the digital management of identity and entry information through the v-Pass system.
